Experio Tours is a company specialising in tailor-made cultural tours of the UK. One of our most popular tours takes the parents of our Experio Summer students on a 15-day tour around England, Wales and Scotland while their children enjoy one of our international summer camps.

Parents’ UK Tour 2018

Experience the best of England, Scotland & Wales while your child enjoys 2 weeks at Clifton College Summer School.

Your tour starts and ends in the UK’s capital but includes 13 days dedicated to visiting the most beautiful, historic and interesting places that England, Scotland & Wales have to offer. All accommodation and some meals are included as well as an expert guide, transport and entrance tickets.

1. Arrival

Arrival at London Heathrow Airport>Clifton College>Bath Accompany your child to Clifton College and then proceed to your hotel in Bath for some rest and relaxation. (D)

2. Bath to Cardiff

Open-top bus sightseeing tour of this World Heritage City followed by a guided tour of the Roman Baths and Pump Room. Free-time to explore and shop. Coach transfer to hotel in Cardiff. (B, D)

3. Cardiff (Capital City of Wales)

Your chance to set your own itinerary with so much to see and do: National Museum of Wales; Millennium Stadium; Cardiff Castle; Cardiff Bay etc. Share your experiences over dinner with the rest of the group. (B, D)

4. The Cotswolds to Stratford upon Avon

Drive north through the picturesque Cotswolds region to Stratford-upon-Avon to visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace. Enjoy some free time before traveling further north to your hotel in the Lake District. (B, D)

5. Lake District

Spend the morning discovering the beauty of Lake Windermere and the surrounding countryside which inspired the Romantic poets. After alakeside lunch, you will leave for Edinburgh. (B, L)

6. Edinburgh to Stirling Castle

Visit Stirling Castle, one of the biggest and most important castles in Scotland followed by a tour and whisky tasting at the famous Glenkinchie Distillery. Return to Edinburgh for dinner. (B, D)

7. Edinburgh (Capital City of Scotland)

Enjoy a fascinating walking tour of Scotland’s historical and dramatic capital city including the Royal Mile, the Castle and theParliamentBuilding. Then back down to England and dinner in the Roman city of York. (B, D)

8. York

Your walking tour will include the medieval city walls, the famous gothic cathedral known as York Minster and the historic streets of the Shambles district.

Then on to Cambridge

9. Cambridge

After breakfast you will be guided around this famous university city with a special visit to King’s College Chapel. After lunch you are free to explore the city further or take a chauffeured punt on the River Cam along the “backs” of the university colleges. Drive to London. (B)

10. London (Capital City of England)

The morning is dedicated to visiting the most famous sights of London: Buckingham Palace, St. James’ Park, Whitehall, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, the London Eye etc. After lunch, you can choose between the National Gallery, British Museum or shopping in Soho and Covent Garden. Dinner will be in China Town. (B, D)

11. London

After a morning cruise down the River Thames you are free to visit Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral followed by the museums in Kensington and the designer stores in Knightsbridge. (B)

12. Windsor

A short drive from London to Windsor to visit one of the Royal Residences and largest inhabited castle in the world. Relax in the Great Park and explore Windsor and Eton College, England’s most famous public school. (B, D)

13. Oxford to Bristol

Shopping stop at Bicester Village on the way to Oxford followed by a walking tour of the city of Oxford and its famous university before leaving for Bristol. (B, L)

14. Bristol

A morning open-top sightseeing tour of Bristol. Then witness your child’s graduation ceremony at Clifton College and spend the rest of the day with them in Bristol. (B, D)

15. Bristol to London Heathrow Airport (Departure)

After breakfast pick up the children from Clifton College and drive to the airport together for departure flight. (B)
