Living and Accommodation
The International Study Centre is located on the University of Sussex campus, where you will experience a unique combination of energy and tranquillity. You will find everything you need to live and study comfortably on campus, from modern classrooms and labs to cozy coffee shops, bars and restaurants.
The Students’ Union arranges fun events and activities throughout the year, including comedy, quizzes, gigs, live music and student-led DJ nights. There are also over 200 societies and 30 sports clubs on offer.
The University of Sussex is located just nine minutes by train from Brighton, one of the UK’s most vibrant cities. Brighton is famous for its beautiful seafront with a pebble beach, independent cafés, restaurants and shops and thriving music and art scenes. With great transport links, you’ll find central London is less than an hour away by train and Gatwick airport is just 30 minutes away.
Students at the International Study can apply for accommodation in International Study Centre-managed houses, University-managed accommodation, or you can independently arrange your own accommodation.
University-managed accommodation is located oncampus, within a 10-minute walk from University facilities and the International Study Centre, and off-campus in the residential areas of Brighton and Hove.
International Study Centre-managed houses are located in safe, residential areas of Brighton and Hove. The houses have excellent transport links to the University and the International Study Centre.
Singe en-suite rooms in university-managed accommodation on campus cost from £144.92* per week, based on a 39 week tenancy. Standard rooms in International Study Centre-managed houses cost from £163* per week, based on a 44 week tenancy.
